Festival Camping

For the ultimate Envision experience of community and nature we recommend camping at the festival grounds. Camping is included in all multi-day festival passes.

The Envision Travel Agency

Envision offers an in-house travel agency for any and all lodging, car rental, transportation and tour related questions and reservations. We offer the BEST deals on houses and hotels closest to the venue, the CHEAPEST rates for rental cars, and the MOST EXCITING tours in the area. Visit the Envision Travel Agency page HERE or email us at Travel@EnvisionFestival.com!

Envision also offers it's own pre-festival Envision Costa Rica Tour! Experience Costa Rica from the Carribean to the Pacific on a private bus with other like-minded festival goers - click HERE for more info!

Getting to San José, Costa Rica

Walking or biking are the most eco-friendly options, but not convenient for most people. SJO airport in Alajuela is the closest international airport to the venue at about 3 hours drive. LIR airport in LIberia is about 6 hours drive, but sometimes has very good fares.

Getting to Envision from San José

By Shuttle:

The Envision Team strongly recommends taking our three hour Envision Shuttle ride from SJO to the venue. It's the safest and most hassle free way to get here! Envision will be operating it's own daily shuttles before, during, and after the event - make friends on the trip down! More info HERE!

By Air:

If you would prefer the VIP route from SJO to the venue, you can chose to fly within Costa Rica on one the domestic airlines. You will take a breathtaking twenty minute flight westward to the city of Quepos. Quepos is a 30-40 minute drive to the festival.  For help or info on booking this flight for bus or shuttle service info from Quepos Airport to the venue inquire at Travel@EnvisionFestival.com

By Car:

From San José head west to Jaco and then south along the coast to Uvita.  We strongly recommend renting a GPS with your vehicle. Very few Costa Rican roads have names and it's very easy to get lost. Google Maps is also a good resource. From the airport search from Juan Santamaria Airport Alajuela to Uvita, Puntarenas, Costa Rica.

Car Rentals

Envision is working with one trusted car rental company, Toyota, to make sure you get the right model for you. We pass our discounts on to you and our prices can't be beat. We also include insurance and there are none of the hidden costs that other companies force you to add on at the counter. Please note that although 4 wheel drive is not needed to get to the festival venue, it is needed for many rental houses and hotels, and we highly recommend 4 wheel drive if you plan to explore the Southern Zone. Cars are available for pickup and dropoff both at the airport and at the festival. Please click one of the following links:

By Bus:

You may also take a TRACOPA bus from San José to Paso Canoas and get off in Uvita, where they stop for a few minutes. This ride takes 4 hours. TRACOPA buses stopping in Uvita leave San Jose at 7:30 am, 10:15 am, 11 am, 12 noon, and 4:30 pm. Costs around $15.
